Artistic endeavors of all kinds interest me. I make jewelry, sculpt, and love getting my hands dirty by handbuilding in clay.
And since I travel frequently, a camera is both easy to pack and to drape around my neck, allowing me to creatively respond quickly to my environment. My favorite subjects always seem to be found in nature–perhaps because it is where I feel closest to God.
For me, photography is a form of language and allows me to communicate from a visual perspective, which is how I best assimilate my surroundings and absorb information.
